FAGS IN SPACE Is a Fringe Hit!

After selling out 4/6 of it's shows (!), and through many positive reviews and buzz - FAGS IN SPACE is a wild success at the Edmonton Fringe!

With only a little bit of time before our Fringe Show - FAGS IN SPACE closes, I can't help but feel so grateful for the beautiful responses we've gotten from this lil' fringe show about queer joy & love.

I originally wrote an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PLAY with the same title as my first year project at NTS. In so many ways - it represented a lot of what was I was going through at the time. A level of uncertainty, personal growth, and not being anywhere close to my best self.

The process of going back to an early project, and rewriting it to reflect where I want (a branch of) queer art to go, where I want my writing to go, has been one of the most fulfilling experiences as a writer.

FAGS IN SPACE became a silly rom-com between two very flawed dudes, who somehow meet in the middle and end up in a happy place. While I certainly can't guarantee that my work will always end like that - there was something electric about sitting in an audience and hearing 141 people LAUGH together every night.

141 people laughing together as a lil' break from all the stuff happening in the outside world.

My heart is full, my body is exhausted, but overall - thank you so much to everyone who was a part of or saw this work! This past week and a half has been more than I imagined it would be.
